National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” participated in the conference of Goldenport Odessa Shipmanagement Ltd. on November 30, 2016.

Nikolaos Kotsiras gave a presentation on Goldenport Odessa office and activities in the Ukrainian crew market as well as importance of cadetship and career development. Vladimir Kuznetsov, Crew Manager of Oceangold Odessa presented the newly established branch office of Goldenport crew, specialized in the tanker sector.

Alexandros Papagiannopoulos, DPA Manager of Goldenport Shipmanagement Ltd, made a presentation on safety matters and importance of training in loss and injury prevention. Yevgeniy Kuznetsov, Marine Manager of Bureau Veritas in Ukraine, spoke about preparation of Crew and Ship prior Port State Control inspection. Pavel Svertilov, London P&I representative, reported on cargo claims, port facilities damages, case studies, prevention and damage control. Yuriy Buchkovsky, Training Director of AVANT training school, made a brief presentation on the new STWC convention as also importance of training in the career development.
