On March 1-3, 2019 the international water polo tournament dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the University took place in the basin of National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”. Two teams epresenting Moldova, NU«ОМА» team and the Odessa youth team fought for NU«ОМА» Cup. The winner of the competition became the first team from Moldova, the second place was also taken by the youth team of Moldova,  and the third place went to the team of NU«ОМА». These competitions completed the first stage of training of NU«ОМА» team for participation in the Universiade of Ukraine to be held on April 22 in Kharkiv.
