Annual contest show «Miss-Academy» took place in the assembly hall of National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» on April 24, 2019. The following 6 cadets of NU «ОМА» became the participants of the competition: Dmitrenko Dariya and Numan Dalila – Maritime Law and Management Faculty, Serbina Elizaveta, Tishkovets Violetta, Kolesnik Diana – Navigationf Faculty and Kifa Vladislav – Faculty of Automation.

It should be noted that “Miss Academy” contest has already become traditional in National University «Odessa Maritime Academy», because this title is not only a symbol of prestige and recognition, but also a very important mission – to give positive, kind and beauty to people’s hearts. The beauty contest is not only a significant event in every girl’s life, but also an honor and opportunity to present their “Alma-mater” at a high level. The jury assesses not only the appearance, but above all the personality of the contestants – their self-confidence, talents, bright and interesting numbers, the creative approach to the performance and the selection of costumes, as well as their views on life.

A competent jury, who should be given their due, assessed the contestants, because the task at such events is really not an easy one – to choose among such a variety of talents and beauty only one “Miss National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” – 2019”. The jury included: producer, artist, showman – Oleg Kurylenko; Maya Kalashnik, Deputy Director of “MORTRANS” Charitable Foundation, Assistant Chairman of the Trade Union of Maritime Transport Workers of Ukraine; the winner “Madam-Odessa 2019” – Valentina Bessonova; Head of Step Studio – Sergey Ostapenko; Deputy Dean of Marine Engineering Faculty – Dmitry Danilenko.

According to the results of the competition, Dmitrenko Dariya became the first “Miss-Academy”. Other titles were distributed as follows: Serbina Elizaveta – “Vice-Miss-Academy”, Tishkovets Violetta – “Miss Grace”, Kifa Vladislava – “Miss-Charm”, Numan Dalila – “Miss-Originality”, Kolesnik Diana – “Miss Talent”.

The audience of this event witnessed a great show that made a really strong impression. Each cadet presented her faculty with dignity, because our girls are not only amazing, but also intelligent and well-rounded. They adequately showed and demonstrated vocal and dancing abilities, gave joyful emotions and made the evening truly unforgettable. After the end of the competition, the participants were given gifts.
