On March 15, 2018 the representatives of International Cooperation Department of National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” took part in a training workshop on the preparation of projects within the framework of the Joint Operational Programme “Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020″ under the European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI).

The purpose of the workshop was to identify the main requirements to be met by the projects in order to be eligible for funding under the programme, to increase the potential of prospective applicants, to explain the importance of the EMS-ENI system and the possible consequences in case of improper use, to detail the aspects of project preparation and management as well as to explain the concept and provide practical examples of capacity-building measures.

The programme was aimed at selecting projects which would result in creating cooperation between enterprises on both sides of the border in favor of communities in the frontier region, in areas such as education, research, cultural heritage, transport, health, emergencies, prevention and fight against organised crime.

The forum brought together the participants from Ukraine and Romania, including the representatives of Odessa Regional State Administration, chairmen of district councils, district state administrations and members of public organisations.
