On October 18, 2019 the following 11 cadets representing National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» and its subdivisions won the Maritime Affairs-2019 competition: Mashkova I.V., Umnikov M.O.– National University «Odessa Maritime Academy»; Kurpek S.M., Kapatsina I.I., Chernogor O.V., Bolgarov A.Y. – Danube Institute of NU «ОМА; Glinev M.M. – Azov Maritime Institute of NU «ОМА; Lareev R.A., Kuzmenkov O.V., Tzertin I.V. – Maritime College named after O.I. Marinesko of NU «ОМА; Petrov A.V., Badul A.S. – Naval Institute of NU «ОМА.

At the capital’s State University of Infrastructure and Technology, the results of the All-Ukrainian educational competition were announced, in which 30 winners were awarded with diplomas and a trip to the Netherlands. In the coming days, the winners are going to visit Rotterdam and the leading exhibition of marine technologies Europort 2019 from November 5 till 8. Besides, the cadets are expected to visit one of the largest ports in Europe, meet with the representatives of EMO, specializing in the transport and transshipment of bulk cargo and see the sights of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

The Boris Kolesnikov Charity Foundation has been implementing a project for gifted and creative youth, students of transport and marine specialties for a second time. In the competition “Maritime Affairs – 2019”, 1,500 students representing 36 maritime and transport universities of Ukraine were enrolled, of which 80 people entered the semifinal.

Boris Kolesnikov, the President of the Fund, congratulated the contestants who successfully completed two qualifying rounds and brilliantly presented their developments in the finals of Maritime Affairs-2019.
