This is the twelfth successive year when the national contest “Ukrainian language-the language of unity” has been held at the initiative of the Odessa regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. This contest gives an opportunity for people of different ages, professions and nationalities to prove themselves. Hundreds of works, publications in the press, scientific research, films, television and radio broadcasts clearly indicate that such an initiative should be supported to promote closer ties between the regions, unite Ukraine and Ukrainian people all over the world.

XX National Contest “Ukrainian language-the language of unity” was one of the most fruitful considering that the number of works sent to the organizing committee in all categories exceeded 500.

Vladimir Torsky, Editor-in-chief of «Sea Review», Honorary Secretary of the Nautical Institute of Ukraine, Professor of National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» became the winner in the nomination «Mass-Media Communications» for the international marine magazine “Sea Review” according to the contest results.
