The representatives of Gram Car Carriers & Golden Ocean Fleet visited National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” to hold a presentation as well as to select two second-year cadets for undergoing the shipboard training on the ships of the aforementioned companies on September 27-28, 2018. The meeting was attended by the cadets from the following faculties such as: Navigation Faculty, Marine Engineering Faculty, Automation Faculty.

NU «OMA» has all the necessary equipment, methodological support and staff capability for the graduates‘ training in compliance with the requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW). The University’s graduates are successfully employed in the companies and organisations of the maritime industry. In particular, NU «OMA» is regularly updated with modern equipment, thereby improving the conditions of cadets‘ training who have an opportunity to progress up the career ladder and become high-qualified fleet officers due to cooperation with major foreign companies.

At the end of the meeting, the guests of the academy were satisfied with the level of cadets’ training at NU «OMA» and reiterated their desire for further cooperation, accordingly they would contribute to providing the cadets with jobs.
