On November 5-6, 2019 the IX International Scientific and Technical Conference «Ships’ Electrical Engineering, Electronics And Automation» (SEЕEA-2019) was held at National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”. The conference was dedicated to the 100-th anniversary of the birth of a Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor  Krynetsky Ivan Ivanovich, who headed the Department of Theories of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (TAС and СЕ).

At the plenary meeting Miyusov M.V., Rector of NU “OMA”, Dr.Sc., Professor; Gorb C.I., Mikhailov C.A., Professor, Dr.Sc., Professor and Varbants R.A., Dr.Sc., Professor said many words about a former colleague, a prominent scientist, a mentor, a professional in his field, and just a good man – Ivan Krynetsky.

Speech of Zakharchenko V.M., Vice-rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affairs of NU “OMA”, Dr.Sc., Professor dealt with the issue of scientific research as a basis for teaching and learning at a modern university.

Obtaining the status of an international conference through participation of the representatives of foreign states, in particular (Syria, Poland, Greece, Jordan) as well as registration in the EasyChair international system was an important feature of this event. The printed edition of the conference’s materials was assigned the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN).

More than 50 reports on topical issues of modern ship’s electrical engineering, electronics and automation were presented thanks to the active participation of cadets, specialists, masters, postgraduate students and teachers of NU “OMA” departments as well as specialists from other educational institutions during sectional sessions.

Like every year, the best works of undergraduates to participate in the second stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific works will be selected according to the results of the conference. Young scientists will be awarded with diplomas in order to encourage them for the best reports, researcher skills and active participation.
