The solemn ceremony of cadets’ initiation that is one of the most memorable events of cadets’ life took place in National University «Odessa Maritime Academy» on September 21, 2018. Traditionally, the initiation ceremony – is a solemn oath, in which the first-­year cadets promise to respect the regulations of the University and proudly bear the title of cadets. This year was no exception. Young cadets passed the celebratory column before the walls of the favourite University.

Kostin, Director of «Uniteam Marine» company; L.M. Korovan, Chairwoman of Marine Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine (MTWTU).

Sincere congratulations and wishes for success were heard from the guests. Academic staff, parents, relatives and friends supported young cadets. Besides, the solemn concert was orginised by Cultural Centre of NU «OMA», where cadets and the University’s staff performed on the stage.

Within a few years, the current first-­year cadets will be highly qualified specialists in their professional field. Thus, the vast expanses of the oceans and seas will be opened on their way.
