On April 18, 2018 the inspection mission of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) was completed in National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”. When discussing the results of the inspection, the EMSA inspectors noted the high level of programmes and courses for seafarers’ training at the University, a qualitative examination system, a high level of special equipment and simulators and a high qualification of the teaching staff and instructors at NU “OMA”.

Upon the completion of work in National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”, the EMSA inspectors continued to inspect other organizations for the training and certification of seafarers in Ukraine.
