In the period from November 4 to 8, 2024 the final study visit and coordination meeting of the EU Erasmus+ project “Qualifications recognition support for Ukrainian universities” (QUARSU) was held at the base of Tallinn University of Applied Sciences in Tallinn, Estonia. 

The event was attended by representatives of all Ukrainian QUARSU partner organizations: National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”, Kherson National Technical University, Sumy State University, Ukrainian National Forestry University, Mariupol State University, Federation of Employers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.The event was also attended by representatives of the EU QUARSU partner organizations: Jagiellonian University in Krakow(Poland), the Warsaw School of Economics (Poland) and the Estonian Qualifications Agency (Estonia). National University “Odessa Maritime Academy” was represented at the event by a delegation consisting of Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Vadym Zakharchenko, Head of the Life Safety and Environmental Protection Department Dana Parmenova, Head of the Maritime English Department Olga Monastyrska, Professor of Fleet Technical Operation Department Vitalii Nikolskyi, Associate Professor of the Electrical Engineering and Electronics Department Alla Drankova. The event was coordinated by the rector of Tallinn University of Applied Sciences Dr. Enno Lend (Estonia), QUARSU project coordinator Dr. Marek Frankovich (Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland) and QUARSU national project coordinator for Ukraine Prof. Vadym Zakharchenko (National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”, Ukraine).During the event, representatives of Ukrainian partner organizations have studied the Estonian higher education system and the Estonian qualifications system, the organization of educational and research activities at the Tallinn University of Applied Sciences, as well as the quality assurance system for higher education in Estonia both at national and institutional levels.The meetings with Tallinn University of Applied Sciences management team as well as meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia and the Estonian Education Quality Agency for Education were organized. Also, during the event QUARSU partners discussed and agreed on further joint actions regarding the completion of the project and reporting.In addition, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, Prof. Vadym Zakharchenko had a meeting with the Director of Research and Development of the Estonian Maritime Academy Dr. Kristel Toom, during which the possibilities of new joint research and innovation projects were discussed.
