On November 21, 2019 Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Researchers «Ship’s Power Plants: Operation and Maintenance» was held at the premises of National University «Odessa Maritime Academy».

 The topics of the conference were as follows:

Section 1. Ship’s power plants and systems;

Section 2. Operation and maintenance of ship’s power plants;

Section 3. Automation of ship’s power plants;

The Organizing Committee consisted of the following members: V.M. Zakharchenko, Deputy Rector on Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Doctor of Engineering Science, Professor; M.O. Kolegaev, Deputy Chairmen, Candidate of Engineering Science, Professor, Dean of Marine Engineering Faculty; V.D. Savchuk, Candidate of Engineering Science, Professor, Head of Research Department; O.M. Volkov, Head of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department of NU «ОМА».

The conference was opened by a plenary meeting, where M.O. Kolegaev, Deputy Chairmen, Candidate of Engineering Science, Professor, Dean of Marine Engineering Faculty delivered a speech. The current issues of operation and maintenance of ship’s power plants were discussed during the meeting.

The results of the conference will be summarized at the final meeting, where the section leaders will take decisions and make concluding remarks. The best reports will be published in a separate collection.
