On June 20, 2018 I.M. Kholod, Head of the Direct Sales Department of Ukraine and the Caucasus of “Xerox” company held a familiarizing meeting aimed at conducting the seminar for printers of the Southern region of Ukraine on the basis of the publishing centre “Vidavinform” of National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”.

The publishing centre “Vidavinform” mainly focuses on publishing activities, production of any polygraphic products (didactic, educational, methodological, scientific and advertising material), development and replication of unified forms of blank documentation, production of educational, educational and methodological literature as well as ensuring its accounting, storage and delivery, planning and subsequent development of the University’s polygraphic base. The Centre is equipped with the newest digital printing complex for high-quality monochrome printing Nuvera 144 and the Xerox Versant 2100 colour printing machine.

Participants of the seminar were the representatives of commercial polygraphy, higher educational institutions and state enterprises. The seminar was held jointly with “Vajter Yug, a local business and service partner of “Xerox” company and a supplier of equipment in the Southern region of Ukraine, as well as with the participation of “Polygraphic Systems” company, the representative of “Xerox”.

During the seminar the participants had the opportunity to get familiarized with “Xerox” company – the leading global manufacturer of the entire spectrum of digital printing equipment from models for personal users to high-tech devices for professional printing; offers for offset printing; presentation of the new printing machine “Xerox Iridesse”; presentation of equipment for postprinting made by “Polygraphic Systems” company.

Upon completion of the event an open discussion took place, where the participants of the seminar exchanged their experience and discussed the actual proposals for the topic of the seminar.
